DEPARTMENT OF PHILOSOPHY

The undergraduate program of the Department of Philosophy, which started to admit students in the 2013-2014 academic year, is four years. The educational activities in the department are carried out by three faculty members and four research assistants. Our department regularly contributes to the educational processes of our students with various academic and social activities every year. Our faculty members are interested in different areas of philosophy. The systematic and in-depth thinking and questioning of our students, reading and analyzing texts, expressing their thoughts clearly and effectively and developing their writing skills are among the constant goals of our department. Plutarch's principle mind is not a vessel to be filled, but a fire to be ignited sheds light on our understanding of education and training. Our program is organized with this goal and understanding of philosophy, logic, epistemology, ontology, philosophy of science, Islamic philosophy, moral philosophy and political philosophy, as well as basic and compulsory courses, there are many elective courses.There are many philosophy graduates working successfully in fields such as education, culture, communication, publishing, advertising, tourism in public institutions or private sector. In addition, it is possible to work as a Philosophy Group Teacher in schools or private educational institutions provided that the conditions required by the Ministry of National Education are fulfilled. Following the undergraduate program, being an academician by completing master's and doctoral programs can be considered as a good target for philosophy students.
