A talk was organised for the students of Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School within the scope of World Philosophy Day. On Tuesday, 21 November at 13:30 in the conference hall of our school, 11th grade students participated in the conversation. Nuri ÇİÇEK, a research assistant from Aksaray University, Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Department of Philosophy, gave the talk. He provided valuable information to the students with the topic "Why Philosophy?". He told the students what philosophy is, its place and importance in social life, where philosophical knowledge can be used in our daily lives, and the necessity of rational, critical and questioning attitude in our lives. Thus, he contributed to the intellectual life of the students.
